At Pécoyne horses are our speciality (click on Realize Riding for details) but if you're not riding, there are several other ways to enjoy yourself on the farm.

Relax in the garden

Enjoy the spacious and peaceful garden with its stunning views down the valley and spectacular backdrop of the Pyrénées when they're in view. There are trees to shade under, a sitting/eating area and a games area where you can try out the local pastime of pétanque or have a game of ping-pong.

Cool down in the pool

Beyond the garden and enjoying the same elevated position and panoramic views is the recently installed and professionally built 10 x 15m swimming pool.

Go for a walk in the wilderness garden

This is a corner of the farm which we have given over to nature where you can explore the paths and find quiet glades to sit and enjoy the wildlife at your leisure. In the spring there are many wild flowers, including protected species of wild orchids, as well as beautiful butterflies and birds. The garden joins on to the petite randonnée which runs along the bottom of the farm and continues along tracks and lanes ... as far as you want to go.

Mountain-biking

We have mountain bikes available for hire at a small charge. They are a great way of exploring the tracks and lanes in the vicinity.

Meet Esmée and Jeremy

Liberated from an intensive farm in the early months of her life, Esmée, our highly intelligent and celebrated pig, now leads a fun and interesting life in her own wooded enclosure close to the stable yard. Despite the perceived bad relations between pig and horse, Esmée, having grown up around horses, is good friends with them, if quite a source of fascination! Esmée spent the first year of life at liberty, she went almost everywhere, visiting the horses in their fields, even, once, the neighbouring farm. As she grew bigger we decided that her own enclosure with a piggy companion, Jeremy (liberated from the same source), would be a better solution. Esmée and Jeremy welcome visitors (especially those armed with a bunch of grass or an apple etc), please feel free to come and meet them during your stay, we're sure you'll be impressed!
